Educational Qualification

Candidates aspiring to apply for the post of Field Assistant (Statistics) / Enumerator must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Degree Qualification:
   • A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, having studied at least one subject among Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Social Science, Sociology, or Psychology at the degree level.
   • OR A Bachelor's degree in any discipline along with at least 50% marks in Mathematics at the Class 12 (Higher Secondary) level.
2. Computer Proficiency:
   • Must possess a minimum 6 (six) months' Computer Course Certificate issued by a Government-recognized institution and be comfortable entering data via handheld devices.
3. Language Proficiency:
   • Must have studied English and at least one local language (Assamese, Bengali, or Bodo) up to the HSLC (Class 10) level.
4. Employment Exchange Registration:
   • A valid Employment Exchange registration certificate within the State of Assam is compulsory.
5. Small Family Norms:
   • Candidates must furnish a declaration regarding small family norms in Form-A as required.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

Note: Age will be verified using the HSLC/Class 10 Admit Card or Pass Certificate.

Upper Age Relaxation

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Band-2 with a salary scale of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- along with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5,600/- per month, plus other allowances admissible under the Government of Assam rules.
